This top quality T-shirt allows the body to breathe and keeps you dry while running. T-shirts can be collected on 7 December from the Registration Desk (zalencentrum De Gracht, opposite the Town Hall and church) on presentation of the start number. Results list The results will be published on the evening of 6 December on this website under "Uitslagen" [results]. Course record Men: Haile Gebrselassie (Ethiopia) 42’36. Women: Bezunesh Bekele (Ethiopia) 48’32. History The first race was held in 1996, with 325 runners. During the last race, a total of 2,700 competitors crossed the finish line. The Wincanton Montferland Run is one of the fastest 15 km races in the world. Many top national and international athletes have competed in ’s-Heerenberg, including: Kamiel Maase, Khalid Khannouchi, Felix Limo, Sileshi Sihine, Luke Kibet, Reuben Kosgei, Hassan Mubarak Shami, Richard Limo, Kenenisa Bekele and of course in 2007 Haile Gebrselassie. Click here for an overview. The Gelderlander Youth Race The Gelderlander Youth Race covers a distance of 1,000 metres. For each category, a classification is drawn up. There are prizes for the first three boys and girls per category The associated start times are: 12.15 youth aged 12 to 13 and 14 to 15; 12.18 youth aged 10 to 11; 12.21 youth aged 8 to 9; 12.24 youth aged 6 to 7. Youth who wish to take part can only register on race day at zalencentrum De Gracht on Marktstraat (opposite the Town Hall and the church in ’s-Heerenberg). Registration costs €2.50. This sum includes the hire of a ChampionChip, which records their times. Each competitor receives a nice souvenir medal. New Balance Fun Run The 7.5 km New Balance Fun Run is purely recreational and has no competitive element. This Run is intended for those who wish to feel the unique atmosphere of the Wincanton Montferland Run with a focus on the fun of running. Registration costs are €4.50 for advance registration and €6.50 on the day. Competitors run with a ChampionChip which records their performance. This run has no competitive element, so no classification is drawn up. The run starts at 10.45 a.m. Registration on 6 December will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 10.15 a.m. in Zalencentrum De Gracht. Directions and parking Parking facilities are signposted. Take the A12 motorway in the direction of Arnhem, then take the Emmerich/'s-Heerenberg exit. Continue in the direction of 's-Heerenberg and follow the signs. Changing and showering facilities Changing facilities are available in the vicinity of the Start/Finish line. You can shower at the Sportkomplex Montferland sports centre, Oude Doetinchemseweg 43, 's-Heerenberg (approx. 1000 metres from the Start/Finish area).
